Questions and answers
Cordless or corded vacuum?
A cordless vacuum is best for quick daily cleaning and small homes, with no cable and no socket. A corded vacuum has unlimited run time and stronger suction for weekly deep cleaning of large homes.
Which MODEX vacuum is best for pet hair and allergies?
For pet hair, choose an upright: the MODEX UVC1400 has a pet-hair brush, the MODEX UVC1520 includes a pet-hair tool, and the MODEX UVC1510 has a brush that hair does not wrap around. For allergies, choose a model with a HEPA filter, such as the UVC1510, UVC1520, VC9096 or VC8090.
Can a vacuum pick up water?
Only the wet and dry vacuums, the MODEX VC7000 and MODEX VC8000, can pick up water. Never use a normal vacuum on water. To wash carpets and sofas, use the MODEX DC1980 carpet washer or a MODEX spot cleaner.
Bagged or bagless?
Bagless vacuums have no bags to buy; you empty the bin. Bagged vacuums, like the MODEX UVC1520 and VC8090, keep dust sealed inside the bag, which is cleaner for people with allergies. Replacement bags for the UVC1520 are the MODEX DB500 pack.
