Questions and answers
Steam iron or steam generator?
A steam iron is light and fine for everyday ironing. A steam generator has a separate tank and much more steam (up to 200 g/min on the MODEX SG4500), so big piles of ironing go much faster.
Can a garment steamer replace an iron?
For dishdashas, abayas, dresses and curtains, a garment steamer removes wrinkles quickly without an ironing board. For sharp creases on trousers and shirts, an iron is still better.
Can I use tap water?
Yes, but in areas with hard water, mixing tap water with distilled water reduces limescale. MODEX irons have anti-scale and self-clean functions.
